As a freshman McCausland helped put Madonna volleyball on the national map by leading the program to its first ever National Tournament appearance. McCausland led the team to two more National Tournaments, helping launch a national power. She set the single season record for games played (214) in '95 and was named NAIA first team All-American in both ‘95 and '96. McCausland ranks in the top ten of nearly every offensive and defensive category including second all-time in games played (705), third all-time kills (2,763), and second all-time in service aces (255). She was twice named Great Lakes Player of the Year, three-time NAIA All-Region, named All-District 23, and was a three-time Great Lakes All-Sectional pick.
