In '99 he hit a single season record 19 homers and finished with a career record 48 long balls. "Shrews" also set career records for runs scored (195), hits (240), batting average (.397), doubles (58), and runs batted in (195).  In addition to the career records, Shrewsbury also holds the top two single-season batting averages hitting .455 in '97 and .425 in '99. He was twice named Honorable Mention All-American first team All-Conference and NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete.
