Crusaders Secure 9th Place Finish at Second WHAC Meet

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Madonna University Men's Bowling Team returned to action this past weekend at Imperial Lanes for the WHAC #2 Great Lakes Open. Competing in a competitive Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference field, the Crusaders battled to a 9th-place finish out of 11 varsity teams, finishing the event with a total pin count of 5,371.

The Crusaders were led by Jonathon Michalski, who secured the top spot for Madonna with a 32nd-place individual finish. Michalski opened the day strong with a team-high game of 210 and finished with a three-game series total of 547.

Right on his heels was Keith McLeod, who claimed 35th place overall. McLeod demonstrated remarkable consistency and grit, bouncing back from a lower second game to fire a 204 in his final frame, ending with a total of 543.


Brandon Leavitt provided a steady performance for the Crusaders, finishing 47th with a total of 516. Leavitt improved his score in every game of the set, closing out his afternoon with his personal best for the day, a 192. Dylan Jablonski also contributed to the team's total, finishing 63rd with a three-game series of 466.

The Crusaders also saw contributions from several other bowlers throughout the meet:

Ian Wright competed in the first two games, posting scores of 161 and 164 for a 325 total.

- Matthew Wolbrink stepped in for the final game, providing a spark with a solid 176.

Madonna will look to carry the momentum from their strong individual games into their next conference matchup. Madonna Men's Bowling will look to bounce back when they compete at the Warrior Classic on November 8th, 2026 at Richfield Bowl in Flint, Michigan.
