Men Finish Seventh at Bill Bockwitz Classic

EAST LANSING, Mich.-- The Madonna University Men's team teed off at the Bill Bockwitz Classic hosted by Spring Arbor (Mich.). at Timber Ridge Golf Course this past Tuesday and Wednesday finishing seventh. 

Andrew Volk finished 7th overall with a +10 over 72 par on the 6514 yard course for a three round total of 226 (74-77-75). Following Volk was Harrison Bowman who tied for 15th with 232 (77-77-78). Gabe Martin and John Doyle finished with scores of 248 (86-81-81) and 250 (84-80-86). Rounding out the meet for Madonna was Matt Barno, he ended up scoring a 260 (86-93-81). 

A seventh place finish for the Crusaders in their fourth event of the season, they had a team score of 951 (321-315-315) over the three round event. Marian University (Ind.) won the Bill Bockwitz Classic with a score of 892 (303-296-293) while Spring Arbor (Mich.) was second with 915 (301-300-314), respectively.

The men will be competing on Monday, September 27 and Tuesday, September 28 at the Bedford Valley Golf Course for the WHAC Preview  in Augusta, Mich.
