Crusaders Golf Place Top Three to Conclude Fall Slate

BRIGHTON, Mich.-- Madonna University's Men's and Women's Golf teams both finished placing 3rd place at the Cougar invitational at Oak Pointe Country Club earlier this week.  

Madonna both excelled during their latest invitational meet. Taking place over the course of two days with both teams placed third out of eight other teams. McKenzie Chaisson on the women's side, had a score of 86  finishing second +15 over par out of 40 competitors. Kristen Szabelski also had a low score of 90 +19 finishing tied for sixth. In a tie for 18th, Kayla Gerhardt had a score of 95 with her teammate, Gabriella Scapone.

Brandon Petzak was recognized for his score of 74 finishing first out of the 42 golfer field. Andrew Volk was acknowledged as well for a low score of 76 tied for fourth. Harrison Bowman had a sum of 82 strokes ending in a tie for 15th-place. Gabe Martin finished in 20th with a total of 83 points 

Both Madonna teams had a great finish placing third out of eight on both sides. The final score was 366 on the women's side and 315 on the men's side. University of Michigan Dearborn  had the top finish on the men's side and Kalamazoo College (Mich.) finishing up first overall on the women's side.
