LIVONIA, Mich.-- Madonna University Athletics is proud to announce a historic achievement, finishing 15th in the NAIA Learfield Directors' Cup standings with 632.75 points—the highest national finish in Crusaders history.

The final standings, released on June 9, 2026, recognize overall athletic success across NAIA championship sports. A total of 13 sports are counted in the final standings, including the required sports of men's basketball, women's basketball, men's soccer, and women's volleyball. For institutions that score in more than the allotted number of sports, the lowest point totals are excluded from the final calculation.

Madonna accumulated 632.75 points during the 2025-26 academic year, including 345.50 points during the spring season, 171.25 points in winter sports, and 116.00 points in fall competition. The Crusaders finished 15th nationally, narrowly trailing Taylor University, which placed 14th with 636.50 points, while finishing ahead of the College of Idaho, which ranked 16th with 630.50 points.

This milestone places Madonna among the NAIA's elite athletic programs and reflects the dedication, consistency, and success demonstrated by Crusader student-athletes, coaches, and staff throughout the year. In a national standings table topped by the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) (1,021.00 points), followed by Indiana Wesleyan University (969.00) and Keiser University (918.00), Madonna delivered its strongest all-sports performance in school history.

The record-setting finish is a testament to the collective efforts of everyone involved in Crusader Athletics. From conference championships and national tournament appearances to excellence in the classroom and community, the 2025-26 year showcased the strength of Madonna's athletic department across all levels.

Madonna University extends its gratitude to its student-athletes, coaches, staff, alumni, and supporters for helping make this achievement possible. The 15th-place finish represents a historic milestone for the Crusaders and establishes a new benchmark for future success.
