LIVONIA, Mich. – Madonna University Athletics announces that Head Women's Lacrosse Coach
Dan Teskey has resigned from his position after nine seasons leading the Crusaders program.
Teskey, who took over the program in 2017, guided Madonna through nearly a decade of growth and development while helping establish the Crusaders in WHAC competition. During his tenure, he coached numerous student-athletes to conference and academic recognition while fostering a culture centered on commitment, perseverance, and success in the classroom.
This past season, Madonna finished with a 5-11 overall record and a 3-6 mark in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play. The Crusaders were represented on the All-WHAC teams by one Second Team All-Conference selection.
Over nine seasons at the helm, Teskey compiled a 34-96 overall record and helped develop student-athletes both on and off the field. His teams earned multiple conference honors, including three WHAC All-Conference selections and two NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Prior to joining Madonna, Teskey served as the head coach of the club lacrosse program at Grand Valley State University from 2012-15 after spending two seasons as an assistant coach.
"We would like to thank Dan for his years of service and dedication to Madonna Women's Lacrosse," said Madonna Athletics Athletic Director Noel Emenhiser. "His commitment to our student-athletes and the growth of the program has left a lasting impact, and we wish him and his family all the best in their future endeavors."
A national search for Madonna's next head women's lacrosse coach will begin immediately.
