ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Madonna University Track and Field program took part in the 2025 Wolverine Invitational this past Saturday. The Crusaders showed up strong in Ann Arbor by earning multiple top five spots throughout the events scheduled.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
In the Men's 60m,
Deron Roberts and Netanel Dorothea both finished in the top five.
Deron Roberts finished second with a time of 6.75 seconds and Netanel Dorothea secured the fourth spot with a time of 6.79 seconds.
The Men's 200m saw three runners from Madonna place in the top ten. First,
Marion Johnson placed third with a time of 21.93 seconds. Not too far behind,
Ugochukwu Anidobu placed fifth with a time of 22.14 seconds. Lastly,
Deron Roberts took sixth with a time of 22.18 seconds.
Darreus Reese prevailed in the Men's Long Jump by taking the top spot with 6.99 meters.
On the Women's Track and Field events, Ny'tierra Hobbs shined by taking multiple top spots. Hobbs took first place in both the Women's 60m and the Women's 200m. In the Women's 60m, Hobbs finished with a time of 7.42 seconds and followed it up with a first-place time of 24.38 seconds in the Women's 200m.
The Crusaders also had top five finishes with
Sofiya Sally finishing fourth in the Women's 400m with a time of 1:04.05 minutes and
Lauren Hamilton finishing fifth in the Women's 600m with a time of 1:38.07 minutes.

The Crusaders' Track and Field program will compete next when they travel to University Center, Michigan to take part in the SVSU Classic. The SVSU Classic is set to take place on Friday January 17, 2024 at 2:30 PM.
