LIVONIA, Mich. – The Madonna University Crusaders Track and Field took part in three meets over this past weekend. The meets took place at Chicago State University, Saginaw Valley State University, and Grand Valley State University.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
While in Chicago, the men's 60m ended with Deron Roberts taking the top spot with a finish time of 6.85.
Ugochukwu Anidobu rounded out the top five in the Men's 60m with a time of 6.99. Giandre Lee finished in the second spot for the Crusaders in the Men's 60m hurdles with a time of 8.14. The Men's 200m saw Netanel Dorothea finished first at 21.04,
Marion Johnson at fourth with a time of 21.93, and
Davion Jackson finished fifth with a time of 22.40.
On the women's side in Chicago,
Sanijah Johnson finished first in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.22. Ny'tierra Hobbs secured the top spot in the Women's 200m at 24.15, with
Charity Jones taking third with 25.31, Kiara Carter taking fourth at 25.59, and
Heaven Copeland took fifth at 25.79. In the Women's 400m two Crusaders took third and fourth, with
Rahzia Rios-Smith finishing third with a time of 1:00.10 and
Robin Davis taking fourth with a time of 1:00.21.
Lauren Hamilton took home the number three spot in the Women's 600m with a finish time of 1:37.72. The Women's 800m saw Gabriella Stachowski take home third place with a time of 2:47.26. Lastly, Princess Browne take home third as well in the Women's Long Jump with a distance of 5.60m.
Moving to the GVSU Holiday Open, Mehdi Nait Hamoud set the school record and hit "A" standard for Madonna by finishing third in the Men's 3000m Run with a time of 8:17.37. Furthermore, Mohammed Salaheddine Ensaad finished the Men's 5000m Run with a time of 14:52.07 and claimed the 14th spot.
FALLEN RECORDS:
- Mehdi Nait Hamoud broke the Madonna school record in the Men's 3000m Run, 8:17.37.

Nathanel Dorothea broke the school record in the Men's 200m Dash, 21.04
UP NEXT:
Both programs will be back in action on January 11 when they travel to Ann Arbor to compete in the Wolverine Invite, hosted by the University of Michigan.
