JACKSON, Mich. - On Saturday, the Madonna University Crusaders Men's and Women's Bowling team traveled to the first WHAC Jamboree in Jackson, Michigan hosted by the JAX60. The event featured 14 teams including all WHAC opponents plus Ferris State University, Mid-Michigan College, and St. Francis (Ill.). The men's team would finish in 6th place while the women's team saw the same opponents minus Ferris State and finished in 9th out of 13 teams 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Crusaders Men's Bowling team finished 6th with strong play through their first three games and their first three baker games to put them towards the top half of the rankings. The Women's Bowling team qualified fifth in the team standings while only trailing by 307 pins and earned sixth in the USBC power rankings.
 
The Crusaders were led by Dylan Jablonski who finished 9th overall at the tournament after averaging 207 pins per game with a total score of 621. Brandon Leavitt finished 40th overall with an average pin count of 179.7 for a total score of 539. Additionally, Keith McLeod finished 61st with a score of 508. Ken Kloth Jr. finished in 71st with a final score of 487. Lastly, Timothy McGarry finished in 79th place with a pin total of 465.
 
The Crusaders Women's Bowling team saw one bowler finish in the top 20 in Maya Janowicz who finished in 19th place with an average score of 180 and a total score of 540. Katherine Dybicki finished not far behind with a 37th overall finish with a average score of 167.3 and a final score of 502. Right behind Dybicki was Laila Lupercio in 38th place with an average score of 164.7 and a final score of 494. Jillian Lipinski finished 50th with a total score of 469 while Bayleigh Shimmell finished 55th with a score of 457.

UP NEXT:
The Crusaders have some time off before they are back in action on Sunday, October 20th as they travel to Grandville, Mich. for The Nelson. Action is set to begin at 7:30 AM.
