STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - On Saturday, the Madonna University Crusaders Men's and Women's Bowling team traveled to the third WHAC Jamboree in Sterling Heights, Michigan hosted by the Five Star Lanes. The event featured 11 teams including all WHAC opponents plus St. Francis (Ill.). The men's team would finish in 3rd place while the women's team finished in 8th place. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Crusaders Men's Bowling team finished 3rd with strong play through their first three games and all four of their baker games to put them towards the top half of the rankings. The Crusaders were just 339 pins away from first and only 153 pins away from second. The Women's Bowling team had a strong start in their first three games but fell behind in their baker games, unable to get over the 700 pin mark as a team to finish in 8th.
 
The Crusaders were led by Brandon Leavitt who has been dominant this season as he finished in 10th place overall averaging 218 pins per game with a total score of 654. Keith McLeod finished 18th overall with an average pin count of 213 for a total score of 640. Additionally, Ken Kloth Jr. finished right behind McLeod in 20th place with a score of 635. Haydn Debacker finished in 36th with a final score of 585. Lastly, Dylan Jablonski finished in 46th place with a pin total of 571. 
 
The Crusaders Women's Bowling unfortunately had no top 20 finishes but were not far off led by Jillian Lipinski who finished in 23rd place with an average score of 192 and a total score of 576. Maya Janowicz finished right behind Lipinski in 24th overall finish with an average score of 191 and a final score of 574. Right behind Janowicz was Bayleigh Shimmell in 26th place with an average score of 187 and a final score of 562. Katherine Dybicki finished 30th with an average score of 185 and a total score of 554.

UP NEXT:
The Crusaders will now be off until 2025 when they head to Waterford, Mich. on Saturday, January 11th for the AHBA #5 at Spins Bowl Waterford. Action starts at 7:30 AM.
