Bowling Competes at Hoosier Classic

INDIANAPOLIS, In. --  The Madonna University men's and women's bowling programs competed at the Hoosier Classic this past Saturday with the men finishing in 37th place out of 78 and the women finishing in 33rd place out of 66. The men finished with a total score of 8,349 and the women finished with 8,097.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Individually for the men, Brandon Leavitt led the Crusaders with a 57th place finish overall out of 586 bowlers. Leavitt had a game high of 256 with an average of 206 with a total 1,236. Ken Kloth Jr. would finish in 68th with a one game high score of 245 and a total score of 1,221. Anthony Thibadeaux would come in 154th out of 586 with a game high of 231 and a total score of 1,128.  

On the women's side, the Crusaders were led by an amazing performance by Laila Lupercio who finished in 19th place out of 471 athletes with a total score of 1,270 and a game high score of 224. Lupercio also averaged a 211.67 in six games. Olivia Spaller would come in 123rd place with a total score of 1,112 and an impressive game high score of 248.  

UP NEXT:

Both bowling programs are back in action next Saturday, February 17th at the WHAC Championships in Lansing, Michigan at the Royal Scot Golf and Bowl. Competition begins at 8:30 AM.
