Bowling Opens WHAC Play

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Madonna bowling competed at the first two WHAC Jamborees of the 2023-24 season on Friday and Saturday. On the men's side, the Crusaders finished second in the team standings behind Lawrence Tech on Friday. They came back Saturday and finished fourth. For the women, the Crusaders finished fourth on Friday, before improving to a third place finish on Saturday. 

Leading the Madonna men on Friday was Ken Kloth Jr. in eighth place individually. The junior rolled a four game total of 899 for a tournament average of 224.8. Olivia Spaller led the women's team with a seventh place finish and a four game total of 814, averaging 203.5. 

On Saturday, Kloth Jr. led the men's team again, this time improving his individual finish by taking fifth place. He rolled a four game total of 948 and averaged 237 on day two. Right behind Kloth Jr. was Brandon Leavitt in sixth place with a 935 and 233.8 average. Katherine Dybicki led the Crusader women on Saturday with a third place individual finish. The junior from Belleville, Mich., rolled a four game total of 789. Also finishing in the top 10 for the women on Saturday was Bayleigh Shimmell with a 773.  

The Crusaders will be back in action on December 9th when they compete in the third WHAC Jamboree of the season.
