Bowlers compete at AHBA Jamborees

CANTON, Mich. - Madonna bowling had a busy weekend at the first two American Heartland Bowling Association Jamborees. The event was held at the Super Bowl Lanes in Canton, Michigan. On Saturday, the Crusader men finished sixth out of 20 teams with a total score of 7193. The women also finished sixth with a team score of 6530. 

Both the men's and women's teams improved on Sunday afternoon. Madonna finished third on the men's side with a score of 7507, only behind fellow WHAC members Concordia and Lawrence Tech. The women earned a fourth place finish with a score of 5965, five pins behind third place Concordia. 

Leading the men individually on Saturday was Anthony Thibadeaux in 10th place with a 1038 and 207.6 average through five games bowled. The senior's best game was game three when he rolled a 244. For the women, Olivia Spaller had an outstanding performance with a fourth place individual finish. She ended her day with a five game total of 984 and a 196.8 average. 

Ken Kloth Jr. continued his strong season on Sunday with a fourth place individual finish for the Crusaders. The junior rolled a four game total of 918 with a 229.5 average. The women had two top 10 finishers on Sunday with Angelita Rodriguez in seventh with a 796 and Laila Lupercio in eighth with a 794. 

The Crusaders will be back in action next weekend at the first two WHAC Jamborees.
