LIVONIA, Mich. -- The Madonna University Athletic Department is excited to announce its 2023 Hall of Fame class. Entering the Hall of Fame this year are four individuals, including Jeremy Gooding (baseball), Bobby Naubert (men's basketball), Sarah Pack-Dyer (women's soccer), and Sister Nancy Marie Jamroz (administration). The induction ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 28th at 6:00 p.m. during Madonna University's Homecoming Week festivities.
"The 2023 Hall of Fame class includes extraordinary women and men who in their time at Madonna made incredible impact on each person and program that they encountered." said Crusader Athletic Director Noel Emenhiser. "These four inductees changed lives with their service, inspired others with their excellence, and left a mark on Madonna Athletics that will last for generations to come."Â
The Madonna University Athletic Hall of Fame was established to recognize those persons who have made significant contributions to the tradition of Crusader athletics as athletes, coaches, and administrators and, in doing so, have enhanced the image and reputation of Madonna University. The Madonna Hall of Fame can be located in the Alliance Catholic Credit Union Arena at the PAAAC and shows off the other 17 inductees.
Below are bios on this year's inductees.
Jeremy GoodingÂ
Baseball (2009-13)Â
One of the best pitchers in program history, Gooding was a four-time First Team All-WHAC recipient and two-time WHAC Pitcher of the Year. He holds career school records for lowest career ERA (1.78), strikeouts per nine innings (9.25), innings pitched (308.1), strikeouts (317), and wins (31). He was named a First Team All-American in 2011 and Honorable Mention in 2012 and 2013. Gooding was a part of a team that won three WHAC Regular Season titles (2009, 2010, 2011), and made NAIA Tournament appearances in 2009, 2010, and 2013.Â
"When I got to Madonna I would hear stories of Aaron Shrewsbury and how far and how hard he would hit the baseball. "Knowing that I heard those stories while going through school, it made it feel like our program had a stellar history built by Mike George and then up through Greg Haeger. I hope that my name will continue to be remembered as part of this program's history along with my other teammates. I remember the battles with my team and the coaching moments from Greg, Mike and Stu. I remember the "compete" and "what do you got!" "Don't you talk to the umpire or I'm pullin you! The part that I appreciate the most is the foundation that these men gave me. They taught me how to be the best competitor and to be humble. You don't always have to be the loudest guy in the room- you just need to know your stuff and be confident. It's an honor to be next to the other Madonna University Hall Of Fame athletes and to be the second baseball player inducted."Â
Â
Bobby Naubert
Men's Basketball ( 2010-14)
Prior to Naubert arriving at Madonna, there had only been one winning season in program history. That changed with his arrival, as he helped lead the Crusaders to a school record 25 victories in 2012-13 with a WHAC Tournament title and first NAIA Tournament appearance in school history. The Livonia native scored 1,914 points in his career and dished out a school and WHAC record 722 assists. He was also the first player in program history to win WHAC Player of the Year and was a three-time First Team All-WHAC performer. Naubert also earned Honorable Mention All-American twice in his time at Madonna and was named NAIA Second Team All-American in 2012-13.Â
"The honor means so much, both personally and to my family," said Naubert. "Madonna has helped make me the person I am today and I couldn't be more humbled to be joining such an elite group. It feels amazing to know the level of players that have come through Madonna throughout the years, and now, to join Coach Emenhiser as the second basketball player is such a great accomplishment that wouldn't have been possible without my family, teammates, and coaches."Â
Â
Sarah Pack-Dyer
Women's Soccer (2001-03)
The all-time program career leader in points (160), goals (71), points per game (2.71), and goals per game (1.20), Sarah Pack was one of the most dominant women's soccer players in Madonna history. In just three years with the program, she was named First Team All-WHAC three times (2001, 2002, and 2003), and earned an Honorable Mention All-American award once (2002). Playing under former women's head coach and now men's head coach Mark Zathey, she helped lead the Crusaders to two WHAC Regular Season titles and two WHAC Tournament titles. Madonna also made the NAIA Tournament twice (2001 and 2003) during her career. Â
"I am very excited to be included in the University's Hall of Fame class this year," said Sarah. "For me to be honored and added to the list of amazing coaches and players that I have grown to admire and respect is special beyond words. I am proud to be part of this Crusader legacy!"

Sister Nancy Marie Jamroz
Administration
An integral part of Madonna University, Sister Nancy served over 20 years as the Vice President of Student Services before retiring in 2009. She served in other roles as well and continues to be involved with Madonna to this day. At a 2021 Better Together Interfaith Dialogue, Sr. Nancy received several awards and honors recognizing her service to the Hamtramck community and her commitment to further understanding of interfaith dialogue.
"I am honored," said Sr. Nancy. "After being surprised to learn that I am considered to be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame, it is with deep gratitude to those who proposed this, that I will be added to the people who have already been inducted. Knowing their accomplishments and contribution to Madonna's Athletic program, makes me realize I will be placed among the great leaders and achievers in Madonna's sports history. As a spectator and true fan of our teams, I am sincerely grateful for all the dedicated directors, coaches, families and student athletes I have met over the years that demonstrate through their lives the ideals and positive impact of sports on forming men and women who live the mission and values of Madonna in their lives."
