LIVONIA, Mich. - The Madonna University men's basketball team moved to 2-0 in WHAC play with a 95-85 victory over Cornerstone University on Tuesday night inside Alliance Catholic Credit Union Arena. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Crusaders came out firing and were all over the Golden Eagles, jumping out to a 21-4 lead at the first media timeout. Cornerstone was forced to play from behind but couldn't buy a bucket. Behind 13 made three-pointers, the Crusaders led 59-27 at the halftime break. Devin Dunn had 15 points in the opening 20 minutes, while Ryan Nunn added 12 and Sho-Ron Graham 10. Madonna was 21-of-35 from the field in the first half while the Golden Eagles were just 9-of-35 from the field and 1-of-11 from deep. 

In the second half, the Golden Eagles tried mounting a comeback as they opened with a 9-0 run. However the deficit was too much to overcome. Despite being outscored 58-36 in the second half, Madonna was able to hold on for the victory. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 

• Dunn ended his night with 23 points and eight assists.
• Graham finished with 16 points and six rebounds.  
• Nunn and Brendan Young had 14 points apiece. 
• Isaac Anderson pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.
• Cornerstone was led by Luke Rowlinson with 22 points, while Cory Ainsworth added 21 for the Golden Eagles.
