FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Madonna men's basketball program went on the road to open Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play and took on the National Runner-Up from last season, the Indiana Tech Warriors. The Crusaders went into the Schaefer Center and snagged their second consecutive win against the Warriors, winning this one by a score of 86-77.

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the first half, the Crusaders were shooting the lights out from distance, things really heated up when Isaac Anderson knocked down his first three of the season, extending the Crusader lead to 14-6. Madonna's lead grew to as much as 15, but they headed into the locker room up 46-32. The Fort Wayne, Ind. native Anderson, had a huge first half for the Crusaders scoring 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting.

In the second half, Devin Dunn put on an offensive display scoring the first 10 Crusader points to extend the Crusader lead to 58-38. However, the Warriors would go on a massive run, and would cut Madonna's lead down to just six with 2:24 remaining.  The Crusaders handled the adversity well and would hold on and come out on top with an 86-77 victory. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Anderson had quite the homecoming performance finishing with 22 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals
• Dunn had an amazing second half, scoring 14 of his 17 points and also recorded five rebounds and 3 steals
• Matthew MacLellan finished with 17 points, five rebounds, and three steals
• Ethan Emerzian and Brendan Young recorded 13 and 10 points respectively

The Crusaders are back in action on Tuesday, November 21 when they host the Golden Eagles of Cornerstone University (Mich.), tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
