Women's Golf Team Takes Fourth in Season Opener

OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. - The Madonna University women's golf team opened their season on Wednesday at the Lourdes University Invitational. The event was held at The Legacy Golf Club, and the Crusaders finished in fourth place in the team standings with a score of 343.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Madonna was led by Madison Brigance in the individual standings, shooting an 80 and finishing tied for fifth place. Behind her was Madison Bajis in eighth place with an 82. Sandreea Cueva tied for 12th place for the Crusaders, shooting an 87, while Kaylee McKenney completed the scoring for the team in a tie for 26th place with a score of 94.

Also competing for the Crusaders was Lacey Bradford, who shot a 95 and finished tied for 30th place individually.

UP NEXT:

Madonna will compete in the two-day Lawrence Tech Blue Devils Classic beginning on Monday, September 19. The event will be held at the Treetops Resort in Gaylord, Michigan.
