WEST BRANCH, Mich. - Madonna men's and women's golf competed at the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils Classic Monday and Tuesday from The Nightmare and Dream Golf Course. The Crusader men finished fifth out of 10 teams with a 54-hole score of 958, while the women were fourth with a score of 1050. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Leading the Crusaders on the men's side was Alex Mei in a tie for eighth place. Mei shot an opening round 79, a second round 77, and concluded his tournament with a final round score of 75. Luke Aldrich finished tied for 20th with a 54-hole total of 240. In a tie for 29th was Gabe Martin with a 246, while Aiden Newman closed the scoring in 33rd place with a 248. 

For the women, Sandreea Cueva led the way in a tie for fourth place. She opened the tournament with an 84, before shooting 83 in the second round. Cueva concluded the tournament with an 87. In seventh place individually was Madison Brigance with a 257, while Abby Schell was right behind in eighth with a 260. Lacey Bradford closed the scoring in a tie for 17th place with a 285.
