Madonna competes at Lourdes Gray Wolf Invitational

SYLVANIA, Ohio - On Monday from the Sylvania Country Club, the Madonna University men's and women's golf teams competed at the Lourdes University Gray Wolf Invitational. The men posted a score of 310 and tied for first place, while the women finished fourth a team score of 360.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Crusaders were defeated by the host Gray Wolves in a tiebreaker on the men's side. Brandon Petzak led the way in a tie for second individually with a round score of 75. Alex Mei tied for fourth place with a 77, while Harrison Bowman and John Doyle tied for ninth place with a 78. Completing the scoring was Gabe Martin in a tie for 15th place with a 79. 

On the women's side, Madison Bajis led the way in a tie for third place with a score of 81. Sandreea Cueva tied for 14th with an 88, while Madison Brigance shot a 89 and tied for 19th. Completing the scoring for Madonna was Lacey Bradford in a tie for 42nd place with a 102. 

UP NEXT:

The Crusaders have one final tournament this fall beginning on Friday, October 21st. They'll compete in the Lawrence Tech Heritage Hill Fall Collegiate. It will be held at the Heritage Hill Golf Club in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
