Reserves Complete 2 Game Series with Aquinas

LIVONIA, Mich. - The Madonna University Women's Soccer Reserves completed a 2 game series with Aquinas.  The Crusaders lost 2-0 on March 15 and drew the return match at 3-3
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • AQ – March 15
    • Aquinas controlled the game from the outset and outshot Madonna 10-2 for the match.
    • Goals by Haley Chapin and Kennedy Thelen sealed Aquinas 2-0 victory.
  • AQ -  March 23
    • After the loss 1 week earlier, the Crusaders came out with much more fire in this match.
    • The match was very even from the start with both teams taking 11 shots total, each team committing 7 fouls, and Aquinas holding the edge in corner kicks 3-1.
    • Aquinas' Haley Chapin would score first in the 10th minute and Madonna's Megan Verant would answer in the 25th minute to even the score 1-1 at the half.
    • The second half would prove even more exciting as the teams would trade goals throughout.  Jenna Daschke and Savannah Bosselaar would score for Aquinas while the Crusaders' Alex Sherlock would score and Megan Verant would net her second of the game to close the scoring at 3 apiece.
