Eloise Wiber named WHAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Wilber earns first WHAC honor for @MUCrusadersWLAX

LIVONIA, Mich.- The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference announced its weekly award winners for the week of March 2-8 and Eloise Wilber of the Madonna University women's lacrosse team earned the programs first-ever award as WHAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.

Eloise Wilber named WHAC Womens Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week with 21 saves and .447 save perecentage
A sophomore from Northville, Wilber has been instrumental in the 4-1 start to the season for the Crusaders and this week was no different. The 5-foot-2 goaltender made 21 saves on the week and stopped nearly 45 percent of the shots she faced as MU went 2-1 on the week. She made 10 saves in a 13-10 win over St. Ambrose University (Iowa) on Saturday and stopped 55 percent of the shots she faced in Friday's 9-5 win over William Penn University (Iowa). 

Wilber is eligible for NAIA National Player of the Week honors which will be released later this week.
