The Crusaders 4-2 lead after five and a half evaporated when the Tigers posted a four-sixth inning to earn a 6-4 comeback victory to open Sunday's action. Alex DeYonker(Livonia, Mich./Franklin High School) started and pitched five innings of six-hit, two-run ball before giving way to Patrick Wierimaa (Redford, Mich./Union High School)and Cliff Landess (Carleton, Mich./Airport High School) in the sixth inning.

After the Tigers came back to knot the game, 2-2, the Crusaders inched ahead behind a two-run sixth inning that was sparked by singles from John Lauro (Rochester Hills, Mich./UD-Jesuit High School) and Jimmy White (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sinclair CC). Dobbie was one of three Crusaders with an RBI in the game, finding his way into the column in the sixth by singling White home from 90-feet away.
