LIVONIA, Mich. – Madonna University has officially appointed Stephanie Fisher as the new head Women's Basketball coach, effective April 27th, 2026. Fisher brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as the assistant Women's basketball coach at Aquinas College. 

"Coach Fisher brings a wealth of experience in women's basketball, having helped build great programs at multiple different collegiate levels," said Madonna Director of Athletics Noel Emenhiser. "She's demonstrated not only the ability to produce competitive success, but also to develop leadership and support education. Coach Fisher aligns strongly with Madonna University's mission to deliver an outstanding student experience while striving for competitive excellence. We couldn't be more thrilled to have her lead us into this new chapter of Madonna Athletics."

In her previous role at Aquinas, Fisher was responsible for recruiting varsity and junior varsity players as well as organizing, managing, and scheduling a 20-game JV season. She also assisted with the varsity programs by organizing weekly workouts, academic meetings, travel needs, food and hotel reservations, and social media for the team. Fisher was also in charge of the strength and conditioning program.
 
Fisher was also a part of Lake Superior State University as head coach of the LSSU junior varsity team. Fisher had many of the same roles she performed at Aquinas, while she also broke down game film and found areas of improvement for the team to develop and improve the skills of players over time.

"What stands out to me is the opportunity to build a competitive, high-character program that develops our student-athletes both on and off the court. I'm very grateful to Brian Morris; his leadership and belief in me played a major role in preparing me for this opportunity."
