ROCHESTER HILLS, MIch. -- Madonna Cheerleading opened their season January 24 at Rochester Christian University for the first WHAC meet of the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Crusaders finished 3rd with a total score of 73.63.
Madonna Cheer is competing their most difficult routine to date. "This team has what it takes to go far this season. When it hits, this is going to be one amazing routine" says Coach Amber Hauck.
The Crusaders battled back after an injury in warm ups, taking out some skills from their tumbling section. Coming together to put out a routine, Madonna hit a great stunt sequence section and basket tosses, rounding out their third place standing. "Â
Today showed our strength as a team. Even with challenges and injuries, we supported one another, and pushed through together. I'm incredibly proud of how we handled the moment and represented our school. I can't wait to see our routine cleaned up, and our strength together." say Senior
Natalie Richards.
