LIVONIA, Mich. – After coming off a massive victory over the Indiana Tech Warriors this past Saturday, the Crusaders were looking to continue this forward momentum by welcoming the Cleary University Cougars to Alliance Catholic Credit Union Arena. The Crusaders took care of the Cougars with ease after taking the lead early and running with it. The Crusaders would end up winning the contest 88-to-61.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Crusaders opened the scoring with a 7-0 run and did not let off the gas pedal for the rest of the game. The Crusaders would see scoring from 13 of 15 players who checked into the game. One player decided that it was his turn to shoot lights out and that player was
Sho-Ron Graham. Graham finished the game with 18 points, shot 6-for-9 from the field, and went 5-for-8 from beyond the arc.
Crusader big-man,
Matthew MacLellan was on triple-double watch as he logged 15 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. In comparison to MacLellan's performance,
Isaac Anderson had another all-around solid night. Anderson finished with 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Satchel Love provided insurance on defense by securing five rebounds and an impressive three blocks.
The Crusaders were in the driver seat for the entirety of the game with their lead being the largest at 36 points. They led 45-to-23 going into halftime and continued their dominant performance by outscoring the Cougars again in the second half 43-to-38.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Crusaders won the rebound battle by securing 44 to Cleary's 26.
- Depth was shining for Madonna as the Crusaders bench notched 43 points.
- The Crusaders also dominated the paint as they outscored the Cougars in the paint 38-to-16.
