LIVONIA, Mich. -- The Madonna Women's Lacrosse Program returned to the field to face the Midland University Vikings. Senior midfielder
Mia Dyson stepped up big for the Crusaders, scoring six goals on nine shots. Despite the performance from Dyson, the Crusaders would Fall to the Vikings 14-10.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Vikings would strike first at the 10:19 mark, and would tack two more on after that taking a 3-0 lead. On the ensuing draw control,
LeeAnn Johnson won the draw, then Dyson took care of the rest and found the back of the net and made it 3-1. Freshman
Madi Conrad added two goals in the first quarter as well and after one, the Crusaders were down 4-3. The second quarter only saw one goal, in which the Crusaders tied the game thanks to Dyson's second goal of the game.
The third quarter saw eight goals and four different lead changes. Headed into the fourth quarter, the Crusaders trailed 9-8, but Dyson and
Lilly McKee scored the first two goals on the quarter and took a 10-9 lead. After that, it was all Vikings as Midland went on a 5-0 run to cose the game out. Madonna would in this one 14-10.
