Crusaders Fall to the Blue Devils

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Madonna University women's basketball faced the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils Wednesday evening. The Crusaders would fall to the Blue Devils 76-55.  

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Crusaders came out looking to get back to back wins while also getting a big conference win over the Blue Devils against a WHAC opponent. The Crusaders would have a back and forth game but ultimately would fall to the Blue Devils to keep them in sixth in the conference standings. After the first quarter the Crusaders found themselves down 17. In the second quarter the Crusaders were able to fight their way back and cut the Blue Devil lead to just six heading into halftime. 
Foul trouble in the second half would hinder the Crusaders as the Blue Devils were able to run away with the game for the final of 76-55. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 
  • Delani Robinson finished with 21 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. 
  • LaZae Mosley finished with a double-double getting 10 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Dekota Smith would finish with 7 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists.

UP NEXT:

Madonna will return home on Saturday, January 13th to face off against the new WHAC opponent Cleary University. Tip-off is set for 1:00 pm.
