DEARBORN, Mich. - The Crusader men's basketball team ventured down the road to face the University of Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines. The Crusaders would make a statement with a 93-73 victory, moving to 4-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Crusaders got off to a hot start, jumping ahead to an early 14-4 lead over the Wolverines just five minutes into play in the first half. The Wolverines fought back, refusing to let the Crusaders pull away by more than ten as they traded baskets back and forth. In the final ten minutes of the first half, the Crusaders caught fire. Blazing past the Wolverines, they took a 56-33 lead at the half led by junior forward Brendan Young with 14 points. As a team, the Crusaders also shot 42 percent from behind the arc in the first half to help secure their 23-point lead.

While the Crusaders would not come out of the gate as hot in the second half, their lead continued to grow steadily after the break. With five minutes remaining, the Crusaders led 87-56. However, a desperation rally by the Wolverines cut into the Crusaders' lead in the final five minutes, as they began heating up from behind the arc. The Crusaders would go on to close them out in a 93-73 victory on the road.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Young led the Crusaders with 19 points and eight rebounds.
• Isaac Anderson recorded 14 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.
• Matthew MacLellan picked up 10 points and eight rebounds.
