LIVONIA, Mich. - Madonna volleyball (18-12, 13-7 WHAC) closed the regular season with a five set loss to UNOH (14-19, 6-14 WHAC) on Saturday afternoon. Prior to the match, Madonna honored seniors Tauri Hintz, Jamie Ciacico, Jaeda Porter, Kacie Stoneburner, Sophia Mainhardt, and Kailyn Heaney. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The visiting Racers came out hot to start the day as they won the first set 25-20. Madonna rallied however by taking set two 25-21. The teams then traded the next two sets, with UNOH winning set three 25-19, before the Crusaders forced a fifth set with a 25-20 set four victory. 

In set five, the Racers jumped out to an 11-8 advantage, before hanging on for the 15-11 set victory. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 

• Hintz led Madonna with 14 kills and 12 digs, while Kira Buza posted 11 kills.
• Karlee Stoll had 22 assists for Madonna. 
• Khloee Stoll recorded 21 digs.
• Stoneburner ended her day with 16 digs and 18 assists.

Madonna will host a WHAC Tournament Quarterfinal on Wednesday.
