LIMA, Ohio - The Madonna University volleyball program picked up a 3-1 road victory over WHAC foe University of Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday night. Madonna is now 11-7 overall and 7-3 in the WHAC, while UNOH falls to 9-11 overall and 3-7 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Crusaders came out firing in the first set, rolling to a 25-16 victory. In the second set, Madonna had to hold off the Racers to claim the 25-20 win. 

Down 2-0, UNOH responded with a 25-18 set three victory. Madonna however ended any hopes of a comeback, winning the fourth set 25-19. A kill by Jaeda Porter from Karlee Stoll ended the Racers hope of sending it to a decisive fifth set. The Crusaders are now 23-4 against the Racers in the all-time series.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 

• Tauri Hintz led Madonna with seven kills.
• Khloee Stoll recorded 13 digs. 
• Kira Buza and Khloee Stoll each recorded three service aces for the Crusaders.
• Karlee Stoll finished her night with 17 assists, while Kacie Stoneburner had 13 assists of her own. 
• Abigail Martin led UNOH with nine kills, while Aubree Ricketts had 18 digs for the Racers. 

UP NEXT:

Madonna heads to Gary, Indiana for a tri-match against Indiana University Northwest and Spring Arbor. The Crusaders will take on the host Redhawks first at 12:00 PM Saturday.
