SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Madonna University (13-10, 8-5 WHAC) volleyball team went on the road Wednesday night to take on Lawrence Tech University (10-8, 8-6 WHAC). A slow start by the Crusaders resulted in a 3-0 victory for the host Blue Devils.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Both sides traded points in the opening set, however LTU went on a 5-1 run to take a 16-11 lead. The Blue Devils ultimately closed the set with a 9-4 run to win the first set 25-15. LTU then used the momentum from the opening set to roll to a 25-14 set two victory. 

The Crusaders tried to mount a comeback down 2-0, but couldn't slow down the Blue Devils. LTU won the third set 25-15 to claim the match victory. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 

• Tauri Hintz led Madonna offensively with seven kills. 
• Khloee Stoll finished with 17 kills, while Karlee Stoll posted 16 assists. 
• Lindsay Hubler led LTU with 12 kills.

Madonna remains on the road to face Lourdes at 7:00 PM Friday.
