LIVONIA, Mich. –  Madonna University's Volleyball program was back in action Wednesday night to take on the Cardinals of Concordia University (Mich.) and fell in four sets. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Crusaders were looking to bounce back after dropping two straight games. The whole night was a battle, no team was able to gain a big lead. The Cardinals were able to take the first two sets, in the third the Crusaders were able to the third set thanks to five kills from Jaeda Porter. In the fourth it was back and forth just like the prior three sets. The score was knotted up 23-23 and Concordia rattled off two consecutive points for the win. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• DJ Sargent led the Crusaders with 11 kills and three block assists
• Molly Miller finished with 10 kills and three service aces 
• Porter finished with eight kills and five block assists

UP NEXT

The Crusaders will return to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play on Friday, September 30 as they hit the road to take on the Saints of Aquinas College (Mich.) at 7:00 p.m.
