SYLVANIA, Ohio - The Madonna University volleyball team fell in four sets to Lourdes University in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference battle on Saturday afternoon at the Ebeid Rec Center in Sylvania, Ohio. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

In the first set, the Crusaders came to play, taking it 25-14. The host Gray Wolves responded by taking the next three sets 25-21, 25-20, and 25-23. 

With the loss, Madonna's record moves to 5-7 overall and 2-4 in the WHAC. Lourdes moves to 7-7 overall and 3-4 in conference action. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 

• Molly Miller and DJ Sargent led the Crusaders with 12 kills each, while Jaeda Porter recorded nine kills.
• Kacie Stoneburner had 28 assists, and Kendall Meadows had 18.
• Katie Engelhardt led the team in digs with 26.

UP NEXT:

The Crusaders will return home and to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play on Wednesday, September 28. They will take on Concordia University Ann Arbor at 7:00 p.m.
