LIVONIA, Mich. - The Madonna University volleyball lost a home Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup to the University of Michigan-Dearborn on Friday night. After taking the first set 25-23, the Crusaders dropped the next three sets and the Wolverines took home the victory. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Wolverines tied things at 23 in the first set, however the Crusaders earned the next two points and the set victory. After UM-Dearborn won the next two sets by identical scores of 25-23, the Wolverines ran away with a 25-14 victory in the fourth set to earn the 3-1 match win.

Madonna falls to 5-6 overall this year and 2-3 in WHAC play. UM-Dearborn moves to 8-9 overall and 4-2 in conference action. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 

• Kacie Stoneburner led the Crusaders with nine kills and nine digs while also recording 14 assists.
• Jaeda Porter and Molly Miller had three block-assists, while Kira Buza had five. 
• Jamie Ciacico had two service aces.

Madonna is on the road on Saturday, September 24th for a 1:00 p.m. matchup at Lourdes University.
