SOUTHFIELD, Mich. –  Madonna University's Volleyball program was back in action Wednesday night to take on the Blue Devils of Lawrence Tech University (Mich.) and won 3-2. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Crusaders were looking to bounce back after dropping three straight games. In the first, the Crusaders looked like the defending WHAC champions taking the first one 25-19, and the second set 25-18. The Blue Devils were able to show some fight taking the third and fourth sets, 25-22 and 25-23 from the Crusaders. In the fifth and final set, Molly Miller would lead the Crusaders with three kills and take the fifth set by a score of 17-15. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Molly Miller finished with 19 kills and two aces
• Kacie Stoneburner rounded out the game with 14 kills, 20 assists, five block assists, and 21 digs
• Additionally, Kendall Medows would lead the Crusaders in assists with 36

UP NEXT:

The Crusaders will return to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play on Friday, September 23, back home to battle the Wolverines of the University of Michigan-Dearborn at 7:00 p.m.
