LIVONIA, Mich. –  Madonna University's Volleyball program was back in action Saturday afternoon to take on the Indiana Tech Warriors and fell 3-2. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Crusaders were looking to bounce back after dropping two straight games. In the first, the Crusaders looked like the defending WHAC champions taking the first one 25-20. In the second, the Warriors showed why they are 15-0 and are receiving votes in the coaches Top 25 poll. Indiana Tech came out red hot and took the second 25-9. The third and fourth sets were nail biters as Madonna won the third 26-24 and the warriors won the fourth, 26-24. In the fifth, the Warriors were dominant winning the final set 15-8. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Molly Miller led the Crusaders with 14 kills and two block assists
• Crusaders finished with 18 total blocks

UP NEXT

The Crusaders will return to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play on Wednesday, September 21 as they hit the road to take on the Blue Devils of Lawrence Tech University (Mich.) at 7:00 p.m.
