JOLIET, Ill. –  Madonna University's Women's Basketball Team suffered a 87-55 loss against St. Francis on Saturday afternoon in Joliet, Illinois. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Saints started the game on a 10-0 run before the Crusaders were able to break the cold spell after a three by Ti'syn Callahan was able to put the Crusaders on the board to start the first quarter. The Crusaders were down only 15 with 6:30 left before halftime when the Saints went on a 11-0 run to end the first half and the Crusaders went into halftime down 17-44. 
The Saint came out strong again in the 3rd and were able to grow their lead to as much as 34 in the third quarter. The Crusaders saw the lead grow up to 41 before ending the game on a 12-6 run that included back to back threes from Callahan and a layup from Bree McCormick.
However, the Crusaders were unable to get the lid off the basket and fell to the Saints 87-55.   

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Ti'syn Callahan led all scorers off the bench with 20 points in 19 minutes of play. She also went 4-7 from three.
• Jac'Ana Anderson had 7 points and led the team in rebounds with 7.
• The Crusaders were 21-56 from the field, 8-27 from three, and 5-6 at the free throw line.
• The Saints had both Hannah Swiatek and C'Erra Maholmes lead their team with 14 points each. 

UP NEXT
The Crusaders will be back in action on Friday, November 4th, as they take on Trinity International University (Ill.) at the PAAAC. Tip off is set for 3:00 pm.
