ANN ARBOR, Mich. –  Madonna University's Volleyball program was back in action and they posted a 3-0 sweep against the Cardinals of Concordia University (Mich.) 

HOW IT HAPPENED

It was a back and forth game in the first set until the Crusaders went on an 8-3 run which led to a first set victory. The second set the Crusaders would dominate, thanks to multiple runs and use the early momentum to take the second 25-18.
Set number three was more of the same, the Crusaders jumped out to a 12-2 lead. The Crusaders' defense was steller in the third as well and they had five blocks and that helped Madonna to a 25-11 victory and a 3-0 sweep. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• DJ Sargent would lead the Crusaders with 11 kills
• Kira Buza continued her hot streak with 11 kills and four block assists
• Jaeda Porter was stellar on defense with six block assists
• Molly Miller and Tauri Hintz each had four block assists

The Crusaders will return to action Friday at 7:00 p.m. when they host No. 21 Cornerstone University at the Alliance Catholic Credit Union
