LIVONIA, Mich. –  Madonna University's Volleyball program was back in action as they came back in thrilling fashion to win 3-2 over Lourdes University (Ohio) Friday night. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the first set the Crusaders carried the momentum over from Wednesday night's sweep and overpowered the Gray Wolves 25-18. However, Lourdes didn't go quietly as they stormed back to take the second set 25-13 and the third set 25-17. 
With their backs against the wall, Madonna found themselves tied 9-9 in the fourth set. Nevertheless, the Crusaders went on a giant 11-2 run and gained their momentum back and took the fourth 25-15. In the fifth and final set Kira Buza and Hannah Kennan came up huge for the Crusaders with three kills each. Madonna was able to complete the comeback as they took the fifth set 15-8. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Buza would continue her hot streak as she finished with 17 kills and six block assists
• Kennan would rack up 10 kills, and five digs
• Jaeda Porter finished with seven kills and five block assists
• Jamie Ciacico would finish with 28 digs and three assists
• Kendall Meadows had 26 assists and five digs

UP NEXT

The Crusaders will return to action tomorrow Saturday, October 22 at 2:00 p.m. when they travel to take on the Wolverines of the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
