LIVONIA, Mich. –  Madonna University's Volleyball program was back in action and they posted a 3-0 sweep against the Blue Devils of Lawrence Technological University on Wednesday night. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
It was a back and forth game in the first set until the Crusaders went on an 11-6 run which led to a first set victory. The second set the Crusaders would dominate, thanks to multiple runs to be up 15-4. Madonna was able to use the momentum from the early runs to take the second by a score of 25-11.

Set number three was more of the same, the Crusaders jumped out to 6-3 lead. The Crusaders' defense was stellar in the third as well and they had four blocks and that helped Madonna to a 25-21 victory and a 3-0 sweep. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Kira Buza would lead the Crusaders with 12 kills, and six block assists
• Hannah Kennan would have a solid game with eight kills, two aces, and two block assists
• Kacie Stoneburner had an all-around game as she finished with 17 assists, six kills, and four block assists 

UP NEXT

The Crusaders will return to action Friday at 7:00 p.m. when the host the Lourdes University (Ohio) Gray Wolves at the Alliance Catholic Credit Union Arena.
