LIVONIA, Mich. - The Madonna University men's soccer team played University of Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday afternoon which ended in a 0-0 tie after a hard fought defensive battle from the Crusaders. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Crusaders found themselves in a tough match against #13 UNOH with a strong showing from the Crusader defense. The Crusaders found themselves at a one man disadvantage in the 33rd minute after the Crusaders received a red card. UNOH would hold a majority of the possession for the rest of the game and had a tough time finding a way to break the Crusader defense. The Crusaders saw a few opportunities on a couple strong counter-attacks but were unable to capitalize. Youssou Ouendeno had a stellar day in goal recording his season high in saves with 10 and second highest in his career. Thanks to Youssou's play in goal and the strong defensive hold by the entire Crusader squad the boys would walk out with a 0-0 tie.

• UNOH had 23 total shots compared to Madonna's 9.
• Youssou Ouendeno had 10 saves on the day

Madonna will be back at the MAC against Cornerstone University in WHAC play on Saturday, October 22nd. Kick-off is set for 3:00 pm.
