ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - The Madonna University men's soccer team played Rochester University on Saturday afternoon getting their 11th win of the year as they took down the Warriors 3-1. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Crusaders came out with another strong performance on Saturday afternoon and proved why they are receiving votes to be in the Top 25. The boys came out aggressive and scored the first goal of the game 10 minutes in off the foot of Ryota Nakajima for his 8th goal of the year. The Crusaders would strike again in the first half in the 25th minute by Wagner Gameiro who would get his 5th goal of the year. The Crusaders would go into halftime with a 2-0 lead.

The Crusaders were not done yet though as they would score quickly in the second half from Breno Stapcinskas who would score his first goal of the year and put the Crusaders up 3-0. Rochester wouldn't score until the 71st minute to make the score 3-1 and that's how the game would end with the Crusaders on top again.

• Madonna had 19 total shots, with 8 coming on goal.
• Jordy Lopez led Madonna with five shots and two on goal.

UP NEXT:

Madonna will host a big matchup against #13 University of Northwestern Ohio in WHAC play on Wednesday, October 19th from The Madonna Athletic Complex. Kick-off is set for 3:00 pm.
