LIVONIA, Mich.  -- Madonna University's Men's Basketball team won their fourth game in a row as they scored the most points in a game since 2018 to beat the University of Michigan-Dearborn 108-61.  

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Crusaders started this game out hot, by knocking down a plethora of threes. Madonna scored 13 straight points before the Wolverines were able to score their first basket. Madonna could not miss in the first, as they were up 35-8 with 10 minutes left in the half. The Crusaders were playing great team basketball, as on the 21 made field goals in the first half, 19 of them came off assists. Madonna would also knock down nine threes to lead 55-21 at the half.

In the second we saw more of the same, as the Crusaders would go on a 19-9 run to start the second. Madonna would go on to shoot 20-37 from the field for 54.1% in the second. All night long the Crusaders owned the paint, they outscored the Wolverines 54-18 in that department. The Crusader would run down the clock in the final seconds to win 108-61.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
 

• Mark Mettie would lead the Crusaders with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks
• Brendan Young finished with 21 points on 9-11 shooting, five rebounds, and four assists
• Jordan Graham had 16 points, five rebounds, and five assists
• Noah Campell had a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists
• Ethan Emerzian came off the bench and finished with 11 points, seven rebounds, and five assists

UP NEXT

The Crusaders will travel to Ohio on Saturday, January 29 to take on Lourdes University at the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center with the tip-off set for 1:00 p.m.
