ANN ARBOR, Mich.  -- Madonna University's Men's Basketball team won their third game in a row as they beat Concordia University Ann-Arbor on the road 80-73.

HOW IT HAPPENED

As this one tipped off, it was a back and forth game from the beginning. In the first three minutes, it was tied 7-7, but Madonna would go on an 8-0 to quickly go up 15-7 before Concordia called a timeout. The Crusaders' lead would grow to 10 points but that didn't last for long as the Cardinals cut it to 26-23 with five minutes left in the half. Brendan Young had a near double-double in the first half with seven points and seven rebounds. Noah Campbell and Ryan Nunn provided a spark off the bench for the Crusaders as they combined for 14 points. Despite this, Madonna was only up 36-35 at the half. 

In the second half, Campbell and Devin Dunn came alive, Dunn had 10 points, two assists, and two steals while Campbell had 15 points and went a perfect 3-3 from distance. Madonna's defense stepped up as well causing seven Cardinal turnovers. Madonna would go on to outscore Concordia 44-38 in the second half to win 80-73.

• Campbell scored a game-high 24 points shooting 4-6 from range
• Dunn had a huge second half to finish with 15 points, two assists, and two steals
• Young secured yet another double-double, 13 points, and 13 rebounds
• Mark Mettie filled the stat sheet with 11 points, seven rebounds, and six blocks

The Crusaders will be back home at the Alliance Catholic Credit Union Arena Wednesday, January 26 to take on the University of Michigan-Dearborn, tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
