Crusaders Fourth in Preseason WHAC Poll

LIVONIA, Mich.-- The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) released on Tuesday the 2021 preseason poll listing the Madonna University Men's Soccer program fourth in it's fall campaign predictions.

In the abbreviated spring season, the Crusaders went 7-4 with three shutouts in WHAC play. Indiana Tech was voted as the preseason favorite in the conference with all 12 first-place votes and 144 points. 

University of Northwestern Ohio was picked second with 130 points while Aquinas College (Mich.) was slotted just ahead of Madonna with 118 points in third. Lourdes University (Ohio) was picked fifth with 89 while Lawrence Technological University (Mich.), Cornerstone University (Mich.), and Siena Heights University (Mich.) were ranked sixth, seventh, and eighth with 86, 77, and 50 points, respectively.

Rochester University (Mich.) find themselves ninth with 46 points ahead of Concordia University Ann Arbor in tenth with 36. Rounding out the poll were University of Michigan Dearborn (28 points) and Cleary University (Mich.) (23 points) in eleventh and twelfth. 

The regular season will get underway on Saturday, August 28 at 6:00 p.m. as the team travels to Upland, Indiana to take on Taylor University (Ind.) at Turner Stadium.
