LIVONIA, Mich. -  The Madonna University Women's Lacrosse team suffered a 20-12 loss to Bethel University (Ind.) Thursday afternoon at the MAC.

It was Arianna Rivera starting things off in the first half, opening with a goal in the first 21 seconds of the contest. Madonna and Bethel exchanged runs as Dana Haney, Aria Gettel, Haley Skeens, and Brittney Leist kept things close as halftime neared. In the last ten minutes, Gettel managed to sink one in the back of the net as the Pilots went on a 3-1 run into the locker room.

In the second half, Valarie Patterson and Madison Kadwell took two quick goals in the opening moments of play. Bethel then went on a 7-1 run as Courtney Hoeland broke up the streak. Gettel, Skeens, and Rivera's three scores were not enough to overcome the deficit. 

IN THE STATS:

• Gettel secured the team-high three goals through 60 minutes. Rivera and Skeens followed with two each, respectively

• Madonna will stay home on Saturday, April 17 for Senior Day as it hosts Lourdes University (Ohio) at 11:00 a.m.
