SOUTHFIELD, Mich.-- Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) downed Madonna University Men's Basketball in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play 89-80 Wednesday night in the Don Ridler Fieldhouse. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

Mark Mettie and Jordan Graham kicked things off for the Crusaders in the midst of a flurry of Blue Devil baskets that kept Madonna in between a 6-8 point deficit. Brendan Young broke up a streak of LTU points that spanned nearly four minutes. The Blue Devils floated their lead to as much as 22 before Noah Campbell's back-to-back three-pointer brought it down to 16 at the half.

Graham started the second half with Ryan McMullen in toe as the junior transfer went into the locker room with just four points and started to fan the flame in the second half in the scoring column. The Crusaders began to sink their teeth down into LTU's lead behind Graham and Ryan Nunn in small chunks with less than five minutes to go. 

Unfortunately, LTU would stay ahead with moments to go, taking the WHAC game 89-80. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Graham's 30 points leads all scorers and is the most a Crusader has scored all season
• Mettie finishes with 10 points and seven rebounds ahead of Eian Barker who had four rebounds 
• Graham also picked four steals in the game, aiding the Crusaders' 30 points in the paint
• Madonna edged out LTU in bench points, 28 to 19

Rochester University (Mich.) will come to the Alliance Catholic Credit Union Arena on Saturday, December 11 at 3:00 p.m. for a final WHAC contest before the a stretch of non-conference action.
