LIVONIA, Mich.- With the uncertainties surrounding the novel coronavirus and the ongoing global pandemic, the Madonna University athletic department is saddened to announce that the 2020 Patrick Moore Memorial Golf Outing scheduled for June 1 has been canceled. 

While the event is canceled, we know there are still many people who would like to help contribute to the Patrick Moore Memorial Fund to help build a press box in Patrick's honor at the Madonna University soccer/lacrosse field. The athletic communications staff is working to develop ways people still can give, in order to carry on Patrick's legacy.

Individuals can donate to the fund at www.madonna.edu/give (place your amount in the "Patrick Moore Memorial Press Box" box). while We will also make special asks on May 6 - Patrick's 41st birthday - and on June 1, the original date of the outing. If you are able, we ask that you consider making a gift of $41 to honor Patrick this year. 

We are currently at $84,000 of the $180,000 goal. Help us get closer to building the press box in Patrick's name. There are plans in the works to hold the event next summer, with a tentative date of June 7, 2021. More details on that event will be released in the coming months. 

We thank alumni, friends, and family of Madonna Athletics for their continued support of our efforts to continue Patrick's legacy and improve the facilities for Madonna student-athletes.
