WALESKA, Ga. - The sixth-ranked Madonna University men's lacrosse team put forth a valiant effort on Saturday afternoon, but it was not enough to upset top-ranked Reinhardt University (Ga.) on Ken White Field at University Stadium in an 11-4 loss.

The Blue and Gold held tough for the first nine minutes, but then allowed two goals in a two-minute span and two more found the net in the final 1:30 of the opening quarter to give the home team the 4-0 lead. Two more goals in the opening 1:15 of the second quarter made it 6-0 before Tyler Kilar split the pipes to get MU on the board with 12:30 left in the half. Less than three minutes later Jordan Davis netted the second tally for the Crusaders, but the home team answered with two more before halftime fo the 8-2 lead.

Nick Conrad found Davis for a goal in the third and Kilar scored his second with 4:11 left to play, but it wasn't enough to overcome the large first-half hole.
